# About Jaspers

Jaspers is a team of quants, engineers, and investment professionals building tools for the people who work public markets: professional investors, quantitative researchers, and traders. The company is Jaspers Inc, incorporated in the United States, and its home on the web is [jsprai.com](https://jsprai.com/).

## What we build

**Jaspers Terminal** is an open-source desktop workspace for macOS and Windows. Say what you want to see, by voice or by typing, and its assistant puts the right view on a grid laid out like a trading screen, fills it with market and alternative data, and keeps it current with the market. The Terminal uses the Model Context Protocol as its standard interface, so any MCP server plugs straight in, and a built-in coding agent writes the data source and views for anything nothing installed provides. Work can be scheduled in plain words and runs in the background. The Terminal is free, MIT-licensed, and complete without a Jaspers subscription; keys, data, and history stay on the user's machine. We have released v0 and are building in the open at [github.com/JaspersAI/terminal](https://github.com/JaspersAI/terminal).

**Jaspers Hub** is where plugins and skills for the Terminal are found, published, and shared. Jaspers' own data plugins are published there, and Hub reviews every version before it is listed.

**Hosted data for agents.** Two optional, metered MCP servers run on Jaspers' own infrastructure, each a subscription on a Jaspers account. Jaspers Screener MCP (`https://s.jsprai.com/mcp`) covers about 7,100 US public companies with fundamentals, valuation, ownership, and a qualitative reading of their SEC filings, backed by a knowledge graph that links filing text and XBRL data to a risk-factor ontology. Jaspers Research MCP (`https://analyst-api.jsprai.com/mcp/open`) searches and reads one company's filings and verifies every quote against the filing on sec.gov; in the Terminal, Research rooms put a team of analysts on one company in parallel over it.

## How we work

We build on open standards rather than inventing our own: MCP for data and interfaces, Agent Skills for workflows, and a small MIT-licensed SDK, `@jaspers-ai/sdk`, for plugin views. Everything the Terminal fetches is kept on the user's machine in one SQLite file, stamped with what was asked and when, and citations show a source's own words, never the model's retelling.
